If you apply for a General Skilled Migration visa on or after 1 July 2011 and you are nominated by a State or Territory Government must nominate an occupation from either Schedule 1 or Schedule 2 of the Skilled Occupation List.

SkillSelect Subclass 189 Visas and 489 Family Stream Visas must be on the Consolidated Occupation Sch 1 list

SkillSelect Subclass 190 visas and 489 State Sponsorship visas can be on both Sch 1 and Sch 2 lists. Each State has its own occupation lists and selection procedures

No. 1220.0) and is available online at www.abs.gov.au.

2. The acronyms used to refer to an Assessing Authority mean:

4. * Judges and Magistrates are appointed positions, appointed by the Attorney General’s Department.

5. ** Tribunal Member comprises a large number of different positions appointed by different relevant agencies.
